Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has showered praise on Al Qadisa defender Rashid Sumaila.
The 23-year-old has been in a scintillating form this season, making 23 appearances with two goals for the reigning champions, who are on course to defending the title, with two fixtures remaining.
“Sumaila is making Ghanaians proud in Kuwait. I never loved it when the offer came for him to go there but he has proved he is not lazy,” Maxwell told GHANAsoccernet.
“He has made himself proud by not being lazy and has made Ghana proud too. He is a serious player and I think he has done well,” he added.
Qadisa boast of the best defence in the league after conceding only 10 goals. Sumaila, who has been capped six times for Ghana, has been nominated for the Best Foreign Player in Kuwait alongside Luiz Fabiano, Shady Alhmami, Feras Alkhatib and Al Salmiya.
