The Ghana Football Association has confirmed it will pursue Atletico Bilbao’s teen sensation Inaki Williams.
Williams,born in Spain of a Ghanaian father and a Liberian mother has grabbed world wide headlines after a break through month that has seen him score in the Europa League against Torino and terrorise Real madrid in a league game at the San Mames on Saturday.
Despite his initial comments that he will prefer to play for Spain, the president of the GFA Kwesi Nyantakyi told the press Ghana will seek to convince him to pursue an international career with the AFCON runners up.
“Inaki is a revelation in Bilbao and we have plans of pursuing him”.
Born in Bilbao to a Ghanaian father and a Liberian mother, Williams made his Liga debut on 6 December in a home defeat against Córdoba CF after excelling in Athletic’s B team.
He added three more substitute appearances in the league before the European tie in Turin and the big win over Madrid.
