George Afriyie-“Black Stars Trophy Drought Will End Soon”

Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, George Afriyie is of the firm belief that the Black Stars’ trophy drought will soon be over.
The last time the Black Stars won a major trophy was far back in 1982, an action Ghanaians believe is a very long time, and George Afriyie believes so too.
“I believe that a brand like the Black Stars should not take that long to win a major trophy. Ghanaians are not happy and we are as members of the FA are also not happy, but I believe that very soon the players will end that drought”, George Afriyie told sportscrusader.com.
“It can be at the 2015 AFCON or the next but I believe strongly that the drought will end very soon because the players are ready to make a name for themselves.”
George Afriyie further appealed for support for both the players and the Stars’ technical team in the coming weeks.
