Vice President of the Ghana Football Association Fred Crentsil, has allayed fears that new Black Stars coach Avram Grant will not be able to travel to certain countries due to his Israeli passport.
This topic has been one of the many debates in the sporting media since word came of his appointment a few weeks ago.
But this according to Fred Crentsil is nothing to be worried about because all that and more, have been rectified and Grant can travel to any country in the world without any worries.
“We have done so much behind closed doors and I can confidently say that Coach Avram Grant can travel to any country in the World, I can assure you.”
“This issue with his passport and other loose ends to his contract have all been taken care of and there won’t be a day that he will be refused entry into any country to perform his duties as the head coach of the Black Stars”, Fred Crentsil assured.
He insisted that the FA was right in picking the former Chelsea Manager as Kwesi Appiah’s successor adding that his personality and track record was second to none among the other applicants.
“Indeed we had a lot of applicants, but Grant managed to give us detailed plans of how he was going to change the fortunes of the Black Stars as well as other national teams.”
“He is very fired up for the Ghana challenge and is rearing to go. Hopefully we can all smile and be happy at his achievements when his tenure comes to an end”, Fred Crentsil said.
