New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard has praised the qualities of his Ghanaian teammate Kwadwo Poku, describing him as an exciting talent.
Poku, 24, joined City last season from Atlanta Silverbirds and became an integral part of the club’s campaign. He was named in the MLS best 24 U-24 players at the end of last season.
“He’s got this exciting talent. When the ball comes to him you don’t know quite what’s coming but generally he can bring things to the game, he can win you games off the cuff, so that’s great.” Lampard told NYCFC Nation.
“I think he’ll improve and he has a great desire to get better. I think as he experiences playing in the MLS more, he’ll be even better.”
Poku has been capped once for Ghana, in October last year when the Black Stars shared the spoils 1-1 with Canada in USA.
