Frank Acheampong is a major doubt for Anderlecht’s Europa League tie with Olympiacos on Thursday after suffering a calf injury.
The Ghana winger aggravated his injury during Anderlecht’s 3-0 win over Zulte Waregem on Saturday, before he was substituted in the 63rd minute by Suarez.
Anderlecht boss Besnik Hasi confirmed that Acheampong is likely to miss the Olympicaos game, which is a massive blow for the Belgian League side.
“He [Frank Acheampong] got kicked on the calf last week. He still felt something but was able to play. However, against Zulte Waregem he got kicked on the same spot,” coach Hasi said.
Acheampong, who was on target against Zulte Waregem on Saturday, has now scored three goals in 16 League games for his side this season.
Anderlecht are still third on the League table behind Gent and Club Brugge with 51 points after 26 games.
