The French Tennis Federation (FFT) has sacked Arnaud Clement from his role as Davis Cup captain.
Clement had been in the role for three years since retiring as a player and led France to the final in 2014, beaten 3-1 by Switzerland.
There was no repeat of that run in 2015, as France were knocked out by Great Britain in the quarter-finals.
The FFT subsequently announced Clement’s dismissal on Twitter, with reports suggesting that team disunity was behind the decision.
Former captain Yannick Noah – who led the team to glory in 1991 – is being tipped as a successor.
