FKF national elections now pushed to December 22

Football Kenya Federation national elections will now be held on December 22.

A statement obtained by Goal signed by Electoral Board chairman Donald Kipkorir revealed, “The Electoral Board has cleared all Sub Branches that shall hold elections on December 15 (Tuesday). The Institute for Education in Democracy (IED) shall be the Electoral Bureau.

“The Branch Elections shall be held on Friday, December 18, 2015, and National Elections shall take place on December 22, 2015 in Nairobi, Safaricom Stadium Kasarani.

The Board remains committed to delivering free, fair and credible elections.”

Five candidates are fighting it out to unseat incumbent Sam Nyamweya, who is seeking for a second term in office. They include Nick Mwendwa, Gor Ssemelang’o, Sammy Sholei, Ssemi Aina and Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier.
