FCPPL Match day 3 Results and Stats

Defending champions Asante Kotoko on Sunday afternoon recorded its first win of the new season with a 2-0 win over B.A. United in Sunyani. Ahmed Toure set up club captain Jordan Opoku for the opener on the quarter hour mark, whilst Toure himself scored the second goal three minutes into the second half. The win takes Asante Kotoko to fifth on the log with four points.

Ashanti Gold’s 100% start to the season continued with a hard fought 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in Obuasi. Bernard Morrison converted a penalty on the stroke of half time as the Miners have now gone three games without dropping points or conceding a single goal.

Aduana Stars secured a 1-0 win over Heart of Lions in Dormaa. Richard Arhin, who scored when the hosts defeated Asante Kotoko last week, was on target again; this time from the penalty spot 10 minutes before half time.

Hasaacas needed a late strike by Roger Lamptey to secure a 1-0 win over New Edubiase United in Sekondi, whilst goals from Stephen Nyarko and Joseph Adjei earned Wa All Stars a 2-0 win over Bechem United in Wa.

West African Football Academy (WAFA) secured its first win of the campaign after coming from behind to beat Great Olympics 2-1 in Sogakope. Daniel Appiah had put Olympics ahead, but goals from Kissi Koranteng and Samuel Tetteh in the second half secured the three points for the newly promoted side.

Inter Allies and Liberty Professionals fought out a 0-0 draw in Tema whilst on Saturday, Hearts of Oak drew 2-2 with Medeama SC in Sekondi.
