Exclusive: Razak Braimah Sees Ghana’s Afcon Group As Normal

Current Black Stars number one goalie, Razak Braimah has described Ghana’s Afcon group as normal even though a lot of soccer pundits have tagged the group as the group of death.

Ghana, on Wednesday was drawn in a group with the Terrenga Lions of Senegal, The Desert Warriors of Algeria and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa after the draw was conducted in Equatorial Guinea for the 2015 African Cup of Nations.

According to the shot stopper, Ghana is a country that should be feared by a lot of nations when it comes to football and not the other way round as being assumed by many.

In an exclusive chat with sportscrusader.com, the CD Mirandez goalie, upon seeing the groupings said, “That is good. It is a normal group. It is open and anyone can qualify. So to me, it’s ok”.

When quizzed about why he thinks many Ghanians are tagging Ghana’s group as the Group of Death, the former Nania FC goalies said, “Well that is their mind”.

“They are free to say that and I think they are not wrong. However, this is Ghana and we must only hope for the time. Anybody can say whatever but I don’t think it is a group of death. I see it to be a normal group.” He stated.
Razak Braimah became Ghana’s number one with two matches to go during the Afcon qualifiers and was in post in Kampala for the Black Stars game against the Cranes of Uganda as well as keeping the Ghana post against the Hawks of Togo in Tamale.
