GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal that Ghanaian Francis Oti Akenteng has been appointed as a member of the Technical Study Group for the 2015 Africa Cup Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Akenteng, who is a member of Ghana Football Association technical directorate, is among four chosen by CAF for next January’s tournament.
The former King Faisal and Hearts of Oak coach will be assigned to a one of the four Groups after a meeting in Malabo on 13 January.
“I can confirm my appointment to be part of the Technical Study Group for the AFCON and I see this has pat of the learning process. I will Ghana on 12 January for the seminar and that is when I will know which Group I will be working on,” Akenteng exclusively told GHANASoccernet.com.
Members of the Technical Study Group analyze matches and highlight the latest trends in the game.
The 2015 African Cup of Nations will run from 17 January to 08 February.
Last year, he was a member of the CAF Technical Study Group at the African Nations Championship in South Africa.
Akenteng was again assigned during this year’s African Women’s Championship in Namibia.
