Ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah arrived in Sudan on Monday to complete a two-year move with Al Khartoum this week.
He touched down in the capital Al Khartoum alongside his assistant coach Prince Owusu who will also serve as fitness trainer.
According to the Ghana News Agency, Appiah is expected to firm up his contract by Thursday.
Al Khartoum finished fourth in the 2014 Sudanese Premier League and will feature in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.
“Kwesi has been offered a two-year contract with an option to consider other interest whenever he deem necessary. The club has shown good faith in needing him and he hopes to repay that confidence,” a club source told the Ghana News Agency.
“He will be concluding the final details in the next few days and sign what will see him earn double of his first year wages if he is still interested in continuing after a year in charge.”
Appiah is credited with qualifying the Black Stars to the 2014 FIFA World Cup where he could not lead the club to progress from the Group stage.
