The new coach at Anoeta is Eusebio Sacristán and he the 51 year old has signed a contract through to the end of 2017. He brings with him his deputy, Juán Carlos Andrés who has overseen clubs in Spain’s third and fourth tiers of football.
The presentation of Eusebio will take place today at 1230 in Anoeta and the new coach will oversee his first training session later this evening at 1600 (CET).
Eusebio commented on his appointment: “It’s an honor to be afforded the chance to coach this team. When I think of Real Sociedad, I think of a club who have won two league titles and I remember that side so well as I was in my late teens at the time.
The new coach pointed out that he feels his team have, “room to grow and improve and save the season. The current dynamic is not so positive so we need to work on amending that. The initial task is getting things moving forward one day at a time”.
