Togo skipper Emmanuel Adebayor signed for Turkish side Besaksehir following an early exit from the Africa Nations Cup.
The former Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur attacker was without a club since leaving Crystal Palace last season.
And, despite being clubless, he featured for Togo in the Afcon cup but was unable to inspire them past the group stages.
The Sparrow Hawks got off to a good start and secured a point in their Group C opener against the Cote d’Ivoire. They subsequently lost 3-1 to Morocco and DR Congo respectively.
According to BeINSPORTS Turkey, Adebayor has signed an 18-month deal with Besaksehir who are second on the Turkish Super Lig – two points behind leaders Besiktas.
