Dreams FC captain Abdul Bashiru wants the club to focus attention on the upcoming clash with New Edubiase, following Sunday’s disappointing showing against Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.
The newly-promoted had gone two goals up by nine minutes through Aaron Amoah and Lawson Bekui, but watched on as away side Medeama crawled back to force a 2-2 stalemate at the Dawu Park.
Kwesi Donsu and Bismarck Oppong brought the Yellow and Mauves level.
“We need to forget about the draw with Medeama and focus all our attention on the next game,” Bashiru told the club’s official website.
“Football has three outcomes, that is win, lose or draw and we can’t win every game. If we falter, we have to lift ourselves up and move forward.
“We are playing against New Edubiase on Thursday and we are very determined and can for sure get all the maximum points.”
Dreams have claimed just one win in their last six matches.
“In this premiership, you can’t lose points like that,” Bashiru added.
“We need to focus and take this point.
“In the second half, we conceded two goals to make it 2-2, but for me as a captain and a player, we did our best. But it was just hard luck and some petty mistakes.
“It is not good for us if we keep dropping points at home. We need to get our acts together and correct every mistake from now.”
Dreams are currently eighth on the league log.
