Dr. Mustapha Ahmed replaces Ayariga as Minister of Youth and Sports

The Government of Ghana has moved Mahama Ayariga from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to the Ministry of Science and Envoronment.

According to a statement signed by the President’s Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, Minister of State at the Presidency, Alhaji (Dr) Mustapha Ahmed now becomes the new Youth and Sports Minister.

Dr. Ahmed, a dental surgeon by profession, is the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso North Constituency and is a member of the Education, Youth, Sports and Culture Committee in parliament.

Dr. Ahmed, who has worked at the 37 Military Hospital, retired as a major in the Ghana Armed Forces.

The 58-year old is a native of Bawku in the Upper East Region and is married with three children.
