The date for the second Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid this season has been announced.
The two Liga rivals will face-off at Camp Nou on April 2 at 20:30 CET as the Blancos look to get revenge for the 4-0 defeat they suffered in November.
Two goals from Luis Suarez and one each from Neymar and Andres Iniesta ensured the Catalans smashed then-manager Rafael Benitez’s side at the Bernabeu, with Isco shown a red card late on in the contest.
Since then, Madrid have moved to replace Benitez with Zinedine Zidane but have not yet experienced a drastic upturn in fortunes in La Liga, with Barca pulling further clear of Los Blancos at the top of the table.
The gap between the two sides now stands at 12 points after Real suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Atletico Madrid on Saturday, with Cristiano Ronaldo forced to backtrack on post-match comments that had seen him openly criticise his team-mates.
With Barca looking to extend their unbeaten run to 35 matches when they face Rayo Vallecano on Thursday, Madrid fans will surely not be relishing the trip to Camp Nou in April.
