Cristiano Ronaldo is all too well known for scoring goals but he is equally generous. He does not just decide matches with goals, he also provides assists. As well as being the league’s top scorer he is the leading assist provider in the competition with seven assists over 13 matchdays, two more than James and Kroos.
His last two assists were decisive in helping Madrid to take three points in Málaga (1-2) so that they could beat the record of 16 consecutive victories. Madrid went 0-1 up with his assist for Benzema and 0-2 and his header to Bale. Before that game, Cristiano had notches up five other assists: two against Rayo and one against Athletic, Eibar and Granada. The latter was a no-look backheel that Benzema converted for 0-3.
The main beneficiary
Of the seven assists, four have been provided for the French forward. The other three were for Bale, James and Kroos. The Colombian and the German are the other Madrid players to provide the most assists in La Liga so far, with each player making five.
