Court paves way for GFA Congress

An Accra Human Rights Court has today ruled that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) can go ahead to hold its annual congress.

King Faisal Football Club sought a court injunction seeking to prevent the GFA from organising the congress which will formally usher in the new season and start of the new football calendar.

The court’s ruling will paves way for Congress to fix a date for the start of the First Capital Plus Premier League competition.

Earlier rulings of the court dismissed the club’s request for the decisions of the GFA Disciplinary and Appeals Committees to be reviewed.
