Inter Allies Chief Executive Officer, Eric Delali Senaya has urged the media to capitalize on Bright Adjei’s CNN recognition and promote the Ghanaian league beyond the country.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee believes that the global recognition gained by Bright’s strike can be used as a starting board to project the image of the GPL and the locally based players.
The 2016 GPL has defied its legal tussle to bring back memories of the past few years highlighted by the huge patronage and mass media promotion across the nation.
Bright Adjei and the local league enjoyed instant fame across the social media when the Aduana Stars forward came off the bench to unleash an architecturally designed goal, which has earned nomination for CNN goal of the week alongside Luis Suarez of FC Barcelona.
Mr. Delale Senaya, whose Inter Allies side has been touted as one of best professionally run clubs on the local terrain charged the home based media to feast on the rare opportunity enjoyed by the league to give it a global appeal.
“Bright goal show how talented our players are on the local scene. Its nomination for the CNN goal of the week has brought back that needed interest on the league.
“It has given the league a lot of commercial appeal and value as at now. The media are the main key figures in promoting the league and they should use this market the league and its players.
Ghanaian companies can even use that goal to advertise their products and services”, Delale Senaye told sports crusader.
The newly installed Exco member then called on club officials to resort to social media as part of its packaging procedures in marketing their players.
“Clubs can use videos on the social media to market their players both to local rivals and to the outside world as well.
Social media is one way our clubs can resort to as a way of branding and marketing their players and the league at large”, the Inter Allies Chief concluded.
The excitement on the local league was taken to a higher level when CNN announced nominations for its weekly global goal of the week that has Bright Adjei of Aduana Stars flexing muscles with Luis Suarez.
