Dreams Football Club head coach Charles K. Akunnor has said he is a matured coach now as he prepares to make a return to the Ghana Premier league.
The former Ghana international started his coaching career at Division One side Sekondi Eleven Wise before moving up to Accra Hearts of Oak to replace Nebojsa Vucicevic in March 2011.
He was sacked after recording three straight defeats out of five games in the then Glo premier league.
CK Akunnor was appointed by Dreams FC and he led the team to qualify for the 2015/2016 First Capital Plus Bank Premier League. He believes the experience acquired at Accra Hearts of Oak has made him a better coach for the upcoming season.
“I have learnt a lot especially at Hearts of Oak. I was in a situation where I was with my technical and whilst we are talking they are recording me secretly,” the ex-Ghana skipper told Joy FM.
“You saw it happened to one of the players. It is crazy for you to have realised this was happening; people that you brought some of them on board and they look for your downfall because they’ve told to something you can’t tell.
“These are the little things that deepens the team. Talking of Dreams (FC) I have my technical team alright. You cannot trust everybody but there’s focus there’s togetherness. No body ia going sideways or to a different direction we are all going towards one direction.”
he 2015/2016 First Capital Plus Bank Premier League season will start in December.
