Chelsea PRO rubbishes Ashgold’s transfer claims for Kofi Owusu

Public Relation Officer [PRO] of Berekum Chelsea, Kwaku Amponsah has rubbished claims indicating that their leading marksman, Kofi Owusu has joined newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions, Ashgold on loan.

After the 2014/15 First Capital Plus Bank Premier League, Owusu became the hottest commodity after scoring 19 goals and winning the top-scorer award.

Host of premier league clubs which include, Asante Kotoko. Hearts of Oak and Ashgold are all scouting for his signature and according to reports the Obuasi based club have signed Kofi Owusu on loan from Berekum Chelsea.

And Ashgold’s PRO Kofi  Yawson was even quoted saying his outfit have secured Kofi Owusu on loan from the Berekum based club, but Berekum Chelsea Publication Relation Officer, Kwaku Amponsah has rubbished those reports, however he confirmed  they had talks with Ashgold over Kofi Owusu’s transfer.

“It is not true that we have transferred him[Kofi Owusu] on loan as we speak, they wrote to us that they needed his services which we also replied that, even if we will give him to them it will be on loan, that doesn’t mean we have given him to them,” Amponsah exclusively told Allsports.com.gh.

Kwaku Amponsah further quizzed: “If Ashgold are claiming then ask them whether they are paying something or not for the loan or whether they are taking him outright and how many years did they sign him.”
