Ghana Premier League champions Ashanti Gold have unveiled five new players acquired ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The Miners have made known their intention of retaining the league title and well as reaching the money stage of the Caf Champions League, which they will be participating in as the sole Ghanaian representatives.
The new players are Dauda Mohammed, Nuhu Fusieni, Alhassan Nuhu, Hudu Yakubu and Prince Amoah.
The Nahu brothers and Amoah moved from New Edubiase United while Yabuku and Mohammed were signed respectively from Heart of Lions and Dunkwa United.
Coach Bashiru Hayford, who recently renewed his contract with AshGold, says his team hope to acquire a few more players before the start of the season, whose date remains a mystery.
However, the Miners have begun preseason activities at their base in Obuasi.
