Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Avram Grant says he used the Canada friendly to assess the new call ups; adding that it was a game of two halves.
Ghana last Tuesday drew 1-1 against Canada at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC in a game that saw four debutants play [Kwadwo Poku, Lloyd Sam, Gideon Baah and Phil Ofosu Ayeh] in Avram Grant’s team.
The Canucks took the lead in the 31st minute mark through De Jong but Albert Adomah pulled even for the Black Stars on the stroke of half time.
And after the game, head coach of the four times Africa champions, Avram Grant said he used the friendly game to assess the new call ups.
“It was a good friendly game for us, it was a good opportunity for us to see the new players in the team;… of course we want to win every game but we used this friendly game to try few things.
“First half we didn’t play well, but in second half we dominated the game completely and had the chances to win the game. The others players that came into the game played very well,” he told the press.
