Borussia Dortmund have revealed that they would be open to talks with Real Madrid regarding a move for star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Los Blancos have been linked with the Gabon international for the past few months, and Dortmund now seem to be willing to discuss the player’s future.
General Director at the Bundesliga club Hans-Joachim Watzke told Sky Sports: “If Real Madrid contact us, we will talk, but it won’t be easy. Aubameyang’s transfer won’t be automatic.
“We want him to stay with us. Contrary to the players who have left us in recent months, Aubameyang has a long-term contract which ties him to us until 2020.
“There is absolutely no pressure whatsoever and I don’t get the impression that he is eager to leave.”
However, the reigning CAF African Footballer of the Year has shown definite interest in a potential transfer to Zinedine Zidane’s team.
Aubameyang previously told Onze Mondial magazine: “Real Madrid always has had a place in my heart. I promised my grandad that one day I would play for them, I hope it happens.”
