Deportivo la Coruna sign Jonas Gutierrez on a free transfer, following the end of his contract with Newcastle United.
Deportivo La Coruna have announced the signing of former Newcastle midfielder Jonas Gutierrez, subject to a medical.
Gutierrez can move outside the Spanish transfer window as a free agent following the end of his Magpies contract.
Deportivo confirm on their website that Gutierrez will travel to A Coruna from Argentina, where he is at this point, in the next few days,
Gutierrez moved from Real Mallorca to Newcastle in 2008 and spent time on loan at Norwich City, having started his career with Velez Sarsfield.
The 32-year-old revealed in 2014 that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer but made a full return to football, scoring against West Ham on the last day of last season in his final Newcastle appearance,
