Both Kotoko and Inter Allies deserved a point – Duncan

Asante Kotoko settled for a goalless draw when they played Inter Allies at Tema Astroturk Stadium on Sunday 9 August, 2015.

The match day 27 of the First Capital Plus Premier League saw Berekum Chelsea fall to defeat in the hands of WAFA, but Kotoko failed to capitalize on WAFA’s victory over the Berekum side.

With three matches remaining, Kotoko are determined to win all the matches and hopeful seal top four finish.

Head coach of Asante Kotoko, David Duncan after the draw with Inter Allies indicated that he was unhappy with the game in general and also questioned the referee’s decision to disallow their goal.

“It was a good game, but neither Kotoko nor Inter Allies were able to create a lot of chances that could have resulted in a goal.

“However, I was surprised with the referee’s decision to disallow our goal. Even Inter Allies goalkeeper kicked the ball into the centre circle for them to restart play, expecting it was a goal,” he said after the game.

Kotoko will now hope to win all remaining matches in order to finish in the top four.

They take on relegation bound, B.A United on match day 28 of the First Capital Plus Premier league on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
