Black Stars Commence Training For Equatorial Guinea

The Black Stars commenced training for their next game against Equatorial Guinea, at the Estadio De Malabo, Malabo on Thursday, February 5.

The training at the Estadio De Lapaz, saw 12 players training in the late hours of Monday as they geared up for the crucial encounter.

The players mainly those who did not play in the match Guinea, engaged in series of ball works and physical.

They were; David Acam, Frank Acheampong, Ernest Sowah, Fatao Dauda, Rabiu Mohamed, Jordan Ayew, Mahatma Otoo, Edwin Gyimah, Agyemang Badu, Awal Mohamed, Daniel Amartey and Solomon Asante.

According to the technical team, the rest were allowed a day off and will join the team on Tuesday for the game on Thursday.

Those who were allowed some rest were, Razak Braimah, Harrison Afful, Baba Rahman, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Wakaso Mubarak, Afriyie Acquah, Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan

Captain Asamoah Gyan, was not part of the team on Monday, because he was flown to Mongomo to undergo series of medical following the violent tackle on him by Guinea goalkeeper on Sunday evening.

The Stars are expected to continue with training on Tuesday and round up preparations on Wednesday ahead of the game on Thursday.
