The national under-20 men’s football team, the Black Satellites will engage Premier League returnees, Accra Great Olympics in a friendly match tomorrow at the Tema sports stadium.
Great Olympics will use tomorrow’s match to test the battle readiness of its players ahead of the upcoming league season, after their prearranged interclub friendly against Asante Kotoko last Sunday was called off.
The Black Satellites on the other hand will use tomorrow’s match to assess progress made so far as they prepare for the for the 2015 Africa Youth Championship slated for Senegal from 8-22 March 2015.
Head Coach of Great Olympics, David Duncan in an interview with sportscrusader.com mentioned that he believes the Black Satellites have enough quality to give his charges the needed test.
“We have been training very well and playing a couple of matches from time to time. But I believe that tomorrow’s match will give my boys the needed competition because most of the Satellites players come from other premier league clubs across the country.”
