Premier league side, Berekum Chelsea are yet to release Latif Salifu’s card to Hearts of Oak despite the lethal striker signing a three year deal with the Accra giants.
Latif Salifu last Tuesday penned down a three year deal with Hearts of Oak as the Phobians have started their off season transfer on a good note.
Though the former Liberty Professionals attacker has agreed upon personal terms and signed a three year deal with the Phobians, his club [Berekum Chelsea] are yet to release his premiership card to Hearts of Oak due to an unpaid transfer amount the Phobians have to settle with the Berekum based club.
President of Berekum Chelsea in an interview with Accra based radio Peace FM said: “We have the papers of Latif Salifu. We gave him the go-ahead to talk to them but it means nothing,”
“The fact he has signed for them means nothing. We hold his economic right and Hearts know what to do.”
