The Ghana Premier League kicked of around all grounds over the weekend with some excitement for Ghana’s top-flight football.
Berekum Chelsea travelled to play new boys Techiman City for their opening fixture of the Ghana Premier League. Home side Techiman City won the game by a single goal to nil at Techiman Park with Ibrahim Issaka scoring the goal.
Berekum Chelsea’s forwar Saddick Adams has criticized the poor turf at Techiman Park for his side’s 1-0 loss in their Premier League opener.
Speaking after the game against Techiman City, Adams told Gazzettaghana.com:
“For me this pitch [Techiman field] is not qualified to be used in the premier but it has been allowed by the authorities so at the end of the game they won and they deserve to win because they squandered most chances and scored only one goal.”
