Berekum Arsenals, two others charged for failing to honour FA Cup matches

The GFA Prosecutor has charged three clubs in respect of their MTN FA Cup Preliminary Round matches.

Berekum Arsenals and La Faith FC on January 31, 2015 failed to turn up to play the MTN FA Cup Preliminary Round matches against Tamale FC and Prestige Fc respectively without permission from the GFA and without proper withdrawal notification to the GFA.

Toende United FC has also been charged for the same misconduct in respect of their respect of their MTN FA Cup Preliminary Round match against 77 Stars at the Wa Stadium on January 28.

The clubs therefore separately charged each for a breach of Articles 7(d) and 11(b) of the GFA FA Cup Regulations in respect of the match.

The Clubs are to submit their written Statement of Defence to the charge(s) on or before Friday, February 13, 2015 on or before 5pm at the GFA Secretariat failure which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case without their Statement of Defence.
