Bashir Hayford has resumed work as the head coach of AshGold, after some weeks off to pursue a coaching course.
Ashanti Gold have had torrid time throughout the season, lying 12th on the league log after 22 games played
The pressure was mounting on the playing body, the technical team and the management of the club, hence Bashir Hayford had to ask for some weeks off to keep a cool head and also embark on a coaching course.
The assistant coach of the club, Yakubu Mambo was made the caretaker coach and surprising things are getting back on track, having won 2 and drawn 3 of the last 5 games under his watch.
However, Bashir Hayford has made a return to take over the technical direction of Ashanti Gold and is likely to be on the bench of the club when they face New Edubiase United in the Adansi derby on Sunday 67at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
