The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Fred Crentsil has debunked allegations that newly appointed coach of the Black Stars, Mr. Avram Grant will be paid $50,000 a month.
He said the salary of the coach was a private issue adding that there was also a confidentiality clause in the contract hence both parties were not permitted to disclose the salary of the coach.
Speaking to the media at the Conference Hall of the GFA, Mr. Crentsil said, “I don’t think you will all be willing to mention the salaries you all receive at your places of work so it will not be fair to mention his in public.
“Besides, there is a confidentiality clause to it which will not permit any of the parties to mention figures in public”. He added.
Rumours had been peddled in the media that Avram Grant will be taking an amount of $50,000 and a signing on fee of $200,000 but all that have been debunked by the vice president of the Ghana Football Association.
