Avram Grant meets uniBank executives

New Ghana Coach Avram Grant earlier today, Friday, January 2 met with managers of unibank to formally introduce himself as manager of the senior national team.
Avram Grant has been out of the country since his appointment as Ghana coach on December 1. He only returned to Ghana this week after a tour of Europe where he met some of Ghana’s foreign based players.
The meeting was organised by the Ghana Football Association and is seen as a move to enhance the already cordial relationship between the FA and unibank.
Unibank is the official bank of the Black Stars and with the team set to fly out of Accra to Spain over the weekend, it was deemed prudent to introduce the Israeli to the bank.
The brief but colourful meeting was held at the World Trade Centre branch of the bank.
Some members of the Ghana Football Association accompanied by some members of the Black Stars technical team were present at the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Crentsil said the FA felt the need to make a formal introduction of the new coach to the executives of the bank before the team leaves Accra on Sunday, January 4 to continue their preparations for the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
“As the official bank of the Black Stars, we felt the need for us to come here today to formally introduce Coach Avram Grant to you before the team leaves for Spain on Sunday for their AFCON preparations.”
“We believe that uniBank and the Ghana Football Association have had a very good partnership within these past few years and it is our hope that the bank will continue to partner us in our future endeavors as we strive to bring trophies to Ghanaians”, Fred Crentsil mentioned in his introductory message.
Chief Executive Officer of uniBank, Felix Nyarko-Pong was thrilled with the visit though it was a brief one, and assured both the coach and the Ghana Football Association of the banks continuous support.
