German club Augsburg have tipped youngster Philipp Max as a possible replacement for Ghana full-back Abdul Baba Rahman who looks set to quit the Bundesliga club.
Allsports.com.gh reported on Thursday that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen to secure the 21-year-old Augsburg star to replace Atletico Madrid-bound Filipe Luis.
Rahman impressed for Augsburg last season as they clinched a first-ever European slot and ended the campaign fifth in the Bundesliga table.
And according to German outlet the bild, Augsburg have turned their attention to 21-year-old Karlsruher defender Philipp Max as a replacement for Rahman.
The FC Augsburg full-back is attracting interest from the Premier League after an impressive season in the Bundesliga and Chelsea are ready to swoop before their rivals.
Rahman has made 12 caps for Ghana and Jose Mourinho is confident of securing a £15 million deal for his services.
