Ghana international Christian Atsu made the much awaited return for his English Premier League Everton on Sunday.
The player who impressed with some great shows for the English club after his time with Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations was sidelined for a few weeks with an injury.
Atsu who was named on the bench for the UEFA Europa League win for Everton last Thursday made a substitute appearance against Newcastle United.
The on loan Chelsea player replaced Aaron Lennon in the 85 minute in a game that saw his Everton side beat Newcastle United by three goals without reply.
James McCarthy opened the scoring for home side Everton in the first half before two goals in the second half from Romelu Lukaku [penalty] and Ross Barkley won the game for Roberto Martinez’s side.
