Ghana champions Ashantigold have signed twin brothers Alhassan and Fusienu Nuhu from city rivals Edubiase United in a two-year deal.
Aged 26, the duo opted not to extend their contract after playing a major role in helping the club survive relegation last season.
They joined Bashir Hayford’s men in a bid to participate in the Caf Champions League next season.
Communication director of Ashantigold, Kofi Yawson confirmed the move and insisted that their capture is long overdue.
“Fuseini and Alhassan have signed a two-year deal each for Ashantigold,” Yawson told Goal.
“We’ve known the twins for quite a long time and we’re happy they will play a major role in the Caf Champions League campaign next season.
“They are best of twins in the local scene and they will meet the entire team for the first time next week,” he added.
Fuseini and Alhassan respectively scored 13 and eight goals last season. They join Dauda Mohammed who was signed from Dunkwa United in October.
AshGold won the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 19 years after amassing 52 points, four above second-placed Asante Kotoko.
