Kumasi Asante Kotoko players will in the next nine days have little time to idle about as five friendly matches have been arranged to keep the team in the right shape as the long wait for the start of the 2014/15 season continues.
The five friendly matches, some of which will be “medium-profile matches” will start this week. The Porcupines will first play a division one side from Obuasi.
They will then be in Accra to face Heart of Lions after which they would rest for two days. They will then be up against Inter Allies at the Tema Park.
The team will return to Kumasi, have a day’s rest and train for two days before travelling to Tarkwa for an encounter against Tarkwa United.
Eleven Wise will be next in line for the Porcupines before they return home. In Kumasi, they will rest for a day and resume training for the Oil Cup in Sekondi-Takoradi.
Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani, indicated that, the players, who will be fielded in the five matches, would have specific playing time.
“Some will play 45 minutes, others 60 minutes and the rest 90 minutes. We will keep going with everyone. If anybody is out, it will be because of injury” said Didi mentioned to the Club’s official website.
The numerous matches are being played to keep the team active especially because of the non-start of the league and of course, the team’s impending Africa campaign.
