Asante Kotoko communication director Kwaku Ahenkorah has rubbished reports circulating in the local media that head coach David Duncan has been given a three-match ultimatum to redeem himself following a poor start to the season.
The club has gone four games without a victory, experiencing their worst start to any premier league season in the last decade after picking only two points, prompting a meeting between the top hierarchy and technical team as well as a few senior players.
“Nothing like that [about sacking Duncan] has been said to the coach. He hasn’t been given any ultimatum” Ahenkorah told the club’s website.
“There’s no truth in that [news]. Let it be known that management hasn’t given a directive of that nature to the coach” Ahenkorah added.
Kotoko will host Hasaacas on Friday on matchday five before travelling to Dormaa Ahenkro to face Aduana Stars.
