Captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has once again promised the Black Queens a handsome reward should they clinch gold in their final football game against Cameroon in the ongoing All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.
The Black Queens beat Ivory Coast 1-0 in the semi final of the ongoing competition to set up a final date with Cameroon who also beat Nigeria 2-1, the finals of the Women’s football in the All Africa Games is scheduled to be played Friday, 18th, September, 2015.
Ahead of the All Africa Games, the Black Stars captain donated $10,000 to the Black Queens in order to serve as a motivational package to the female football team and it seems that financial help had gingered Yusif Basigi’s side and they are in search for a gold medal against their Cameroonian counterpart.
However, ahead of Black Queens crunch game against Cameroon, the Shanghai SIPG hit-man has made another big promise to the female team if they win the gold medal.
“In my meeting with the team before they started the competition I told them they can go all the way to make our nation proud,” Gyan told his official website.
“I told them they stood to gain a much bigger reward from me if they strive for success as my way of motivating the team.
“Our prayers are with the team and I will be watching and supporting the side with keen interest.
“I saw the hunger in the faces of the players when I first met them and I believe that hunger and drive they have will carry them to gold.”
