Black Stars vice-captain and Swansea City player Andre Ayew took to his twitter page to thank Ghanaians for their support during the international break.
The Black Stars in their bid to make it to the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia played a two leg tie against Comoros. Ghana recorded a goalless draw away from home before winning by two goals to nil at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
A Mubarak Wakaso free kick beauty and a Jordan Ayew goal qualified Ghana to the group draw in the third round of qualification to the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Ayew who made a trip to his Welsh club Swansea City after his international duty wrote on his official twitter handle:
“We are through to the next stage.1st step for Russia 2018.Thanks to all the Ghanaians for the great support [heart emoji] #ghana”

The Ghanaian and his Swansea City teammates will be hoping for a win when they entertain Christian Atsu’s AFC Bournemouth at the Liberty Stadium. Atsu is unlikely to feature in the game as the Ghanaian winger is out injured and took no part in the international games for Ghana Black Stars.
