Ghanaian duo Andre and Jordan Ayew have been nominated for the best African footballer in Ligue1 award.
The award, which is named after legendary Cameroon footballer Marc-Vivien Foe is given to the best performer of African decent in the Ligue 1 every season.
The brothers, who have been crucial for Olympique Marseille and FC Lorient respectively this season have been recognised for their hard work and will come up against the likes of Vincent Enyeama and Max-Alain Gradel, among a host of others.
This is the second time Andre Ayew has been nominated for the prestigious award, while brother Jordan gets his name on the list for the first time.
Andre Ayew is a hot favorite for the award after being named the best African footballer in the Ligue1 by a French football magazine last week. Jordan was also voted Lorient’s Player of the Month for March a week later.
