Amarteey scores winning penalty for Leicester City

Ghana defender Daniel Amartey scored the winning bid penalty as Leicester City win their International Champions Cup clash 6-5 on penalties against Celtic at Celtic Park.

Two champions went head-to-head in the International Champions Cup on Saturday night when Celtic hosted Leicester City.

An entertaining encounter ended 1-1 after 90 minutes – Riyad Mahrez and Eoghan O’Connell the goalscorers – sending the game at Celtic Park to penalties.

After 10 perfect spot-kicks, James Forrest’s effort was saved by Kasper Schmeichel, allowing Daniel Amartey to shoot high into the net to secure the win for Leicester.
