Algeria assistant coach Yazid Mansouri says his side’s clash with Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations will determine the classifications in Group C.
Les Fennecs and the Black Stars will play the second match of the group at the Mongomo Stadium on 19 January.
The ex-international midfielder noted: “We have inherited a very difficult group especially with the presence of favourites Ghana.
“We will have to prepare very well to succeed and have a good tournament. I feel the Algeria versus Ghana match will be decisive for the group.”
Algeria are Africa’s highest ranked country in world football and have been in top form since reaching the round 16 stage
They have won the continent’s flagship event once and that was in 1990 when they hosted the tournament.
