Alan Shearer has acknowledged the good work of Ghana international Andre Ayew in the English Premier League since transferring from Olympique Marseille to Swansea City.
The Black Stars vice-captain left Marseille for Premier League pastures with Newcastle United’s Florian Thauvin and West Ham United’s Dimitri Payet.
Shearer told BBC’s Match of the Day 2 he was still waiting for Florian Thauvin to make an impact on Newcastle United’s season like Andre Ayew and Dimitri Payet have done for their respective clubs.
Swansea City’s Andre Ayew scored his fourth goal for the club in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur with Payet also having four goals for West Ham.
The top goal scorer in Premier League history said:
“There’s Ayew, there’s Payet and Thauvin who all left Marseille.
“Payet and Ayew have done very well, and we’re still waiting for Thauvin, aren’t we?”
Andre Ayew transferred to Swansea City on a free transfer with Dimitri Payet and Florian Thauvin costing money in the same region.
