Al Wahda cancel Harrison Afful deal

Reports reaching indicate that United Arab Emirates club, Al Wahda FC, have called off the signing of Harrison Afful.

The Ghanian right full-back had earlier this week signed a three-and-a-half-year contract after passing medical tests with the UAE side.

However, the club announced on Thursday that they have cancelled the deal on their official Twitter, saying that they did not receive any go-ahead from his current employers, Esperance.

The player’s agent, Lotfi Zarrouk, has confirmed that Afful will move to Al Wahda next season.

“Al Wahda waited for a reply from Esperance about their bid but the Tunisian giants did not send a reply and that made the UAE side cancel the deal,” Zarouk said to Tunisia Radio.

Afful’s contract with Esperance will expire by the end of this season as he has refused to extend his time with the Blood and Gold.
