Jerry Akaminko and Daniel Opare have not wasted time at all in fraternising in Turkey following Opare’s arrival in Super Lig.
The right wing back only on Wednesday sealed a 6-month loan switch from FC Porto in the Portuguese Primeira Liga to Turkey top side, Besiktas JK.
And Akaminko who only last week made a return to the pitch following the horrific injury that ruled him out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Ghana squad of which Opare featured, was on hand almost immediately to welcome his countryman to his new country.
“Welcome to Turkey @opare4_official. Wish you all the best at your new club #Opare #Antalya #Turkey,” Akaminko posted on Instagram alongside the above photograph of the two Black Stars players absent at the Africa Cup of Nations.
To which Opare replied: “@jville15 Thank you my brother.”
Akaminko is hoping to make a full recovery and return from the tragic injury he sustained in a pre-World Cup warm game against Holland which has ruled him out of action since until he played the entire second half of his Turkey Super Lig side, Eskisehirspor’s friendly win last week.
