Ahmed Toure is set to make a quick return to Kumasi Asante Kotoko, after FC Nejmeh of Lebanon failed to reach an agreement with the Porcupine Warriors on the player.
Asante Kotoko announced a month ago that their top scorer in the 2014-15 First Capital Plus Premier League had been loaned to FC Nejmeh and the striker even travelled to Lebanon to complete a 1-year loan move.
However, according the, Alhaji Ali Maradona, the deputy operations manager of Asante Kotoko, the agreement between his outfit and Nejmeh stalled due to the latter’s failure to fulfill their financial obligation.
“Ahmed Toure is expected to arrive in Kumasi on Friday, because the Lebanese club are now saying they will pay $40,000 instead of the $50,000 we agreed earlier.
“We want him to return because his services are needed in Kotoko, so if they can’t meet our demands then there is no need for him to stay there,” he told Metro FM.
Ahmed Toure, will return from Burkinafaso, where he went for international duties.
