Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah has insisted that he is ready to make a great impact at the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.
The player who was part of the Black Stars squad that played at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, did not have enough playing time as he would have expected, playing only one match in the process.
But this according to the strong midfielder will change at the 2015 AFCON because he is determined to make a name for himself with the local fans.
“I believe the 2015 Afcon is the time I have show Ghanaians what I can do for them at the national level so I am working at it. They already know my capabilities at Club level but that has not really been seen with the national team, that is what i aim to do at Equatorial Guinea.”
He prayed for no more injuries especially after news broke that the Black Stars will be without influential midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah for the tournament.
“Hopefully, from now till that time, there will be no more injuries with any member of the team so that we can have a solid team for the tournament”, Acquah mentioned in an interview with sportscrusader.com.
“I am ready like any other player to make an impact at the tournament. At the moment we are yet to find out who our group opponents will be. But for me I don’t like to worry too much about that because I believe in the quality of our players”.
